The youth club operates from a specially designated youth room at the community centre. It is open from 7 till 9 for secondary school pupils, on a Thursday during term time.

The youth club is run on a membership basis, membership is free but we do require the signing of a parental consent form. Members have the freedom to come and go as they please, and are always supervised when in the youth club room. The sessions are supervised by two adults and all adult supervisors have been CRB checked.

Available for the members is a variety of activities. We have playstations and Nintendo, table tennis, pool, a large range of board games, drawing equipment, rounders and volleyball equipment (for when the sun shines), there is also a PC that can be used for homework/ research purposes. We also have a snack bar selling sweets, snacks and drinks.

We run a program of activities such as craft evenings (badge making, hama beads etc), quiz nights, film nights, pool/table tennis competitions and music nights. We arrange a termly trip out (Ice skating, 10 pin bowling etc) which is always popular with the adult helpers as well as the members.

Our aim is to provide a relaxed but supervised environment in which our youngsters can meet up with their friends and have a good time.

The Youth Club is a valuable resource for the village, but we are struggling to continue to stay open due to the lack of adult supervisors.

Therefore we are always looking for new helpers.

We understand that between work and family commitments, after school clubs, hobbies etc; spare time is very much in short supply, but if you can spare 2 hours once a month on a Thursday evening please get in contact.

If you haven't yet been, come and have a look - visitors and guests are always welcome.
